How does a free background remover work?

It looks at every pixel of your photo and decides whether it is part of the product or the background. It keeps the product, turns the rest see-through and cleans the edge, so you can put the product on white or any color.

Is the Shotova background remover really free?

Yes. Anyone can remove the background from 5 photos in any 24 hours for free, with no sign up, no card and no watermark. Signed in, you get 5 free a day and then each photo is 1 credit.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Your first 5 photos need no account, no email and no card. You only need an account to do more than 5 in 24 hours.

Is it safe to upload my product photos?

Yes. Your photo goes to the tool, the result comes straight back to your browser, and neither is saved. To count your 5 free photos Shotova keeps only a scrambled code, never the photo.

What size is the photo I download?

The same size as the photo you added. Very large photos are made smaller first, to 2,048 pixels on the longest side, which clears Amazon's 1,000 pixel zoom.

How do I make a white background for Amazon?

After the background is removed, pick the white circle, choose JPG and press Download. You get your product on plain white, which is what Amazon asks for in the main image.

How do I get a transparent PNG?

Leave the first circle, the checked pattern, picked. That means see-through. Then choose PNG or WEBP and press Download.

Does it add a watermark?

No. There is no watermark on any photo, free or not.

remove.bg is closing. What can I use instead?

Can I use the photos to sell my products?

Yes. The photos are yours to use on your listings, your store and your ads.
