What size should a Pinterest pin be?

Two to three, taller than it is wide. Pinterest ranks tall pins and crops anything taller than 2:3, so a pin composed at that ratio keeps its subject instead of surviving a crop by luck.

How do I make a Pinterest pin from a product photo?

Upload one clear photo, write the single line you want on the band, and describe the scene behind it. The pin comes back at 2:3 with the text set and the image composed around it.

Should a pin have text on it?

Usually. Pinterest is a planning surface, so a pin that promises something gets saved. The exception is a strong product on a confident colour ground, and running both against each other is how you find out which your category rewards.

How much does one pin cost?

One credit is one image and Starter is $12 for 100 credits, so about twelve cents a pin. The free plan includes 10 image credits a month.

Can I make seasonal pins in advance?

Yes, and you should. Pinterest traffic runs months ahead of the buying date, so a gifting pin needs to exist in September. Generating the season rather than shooting it is what makes working that far ahead possible.

Can I use these pins commercially?

Yes. Every image is full resolution with a full commercial licence, ready to upload or schedule.
